Cincinnati-based pianist Pat Kelly has performed in the styles of standards, jazz, rock, Latin and blues for the past 40 years as a pianist, organist, bandleader, and sometimes vocalist. He made Pensacola his home from 1983-1986, during that time playing jazz at Seville Quarter, Flounder’s, Sandestin Hilton, and other local venues. He appeared on the Pensacola Jazzfest in its earliest years. Pat also played keyboards with the Garcias band, playing extended engagements with them at the Pensacola Beach Hilton, Alabama State Resort Park, and El Palacio.
Pat has led his own 13-piece eclectic jazz band since 1992 and plays various other jazz engagements throughout the Cincinnati area, working as pianist, producer, arranger, conductor and music director. He traveled to Russia in 2017, performing with vocalist Mandy Gaines in 4 cities.
He is visiting this week with his Pensacola native wife, Lorraine, and daughter Kristin (who was born here in 1986), her husband, and two children.
